Well deserved Eulogy for the Undertaker

The wonderful career of the Dead Man should not have come to an end at the One Night Stand. But that is what has happened to the Undertaker in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match. The new World Heavyweight Champion Edge, and SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero, used every tactic they could against the Undertaker, from depriving him the gold and stripping him of the World Heavyweight Championship.

The ongoing conflict between the two superstars is more personal now. It all started with Edge cashing his Money in the Bank contract and robbing the Undertaker of the title in May 2007. Not only this but later in the year, the Rated-R Superstar interfered in The Deadman’s Hell in a Cell Match with the then World Heavyweight Champion Batista at Survivor Series, and again depriving Taker of the gold. But it was Edge who climbed up the ladder to grab the gold.

Perhaps Edge did and achieved what no other fierce wrestlers could, Undertaker’s career. Undertaker debuted at Survivor Series 1990 making an immediate impact in WWE. The dominant force brought in by “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase as a mystery partner, devastated everyone who came in his way. He won his first title the “WWE Championship” in 1991 when he defeated Hulk Hogan, earning some reputation.

The Deadman gained into an even darker character in 1999, when he led the Ministry of Darkness against the Stone Cold Steve Austin. In 2002, Undertaker became Undisputed Champion when he defeated Hulk Hogan, having his fourth World Title reign. In 2006, Undertaker got involved in rivalries with Mark Henry and The Great Khali. The plan made by Edge and Vickie Guerrero eliminated the Deadman and unarguably the greatest career of WWE history.
