This was a key clash at WWE Monday night Raw where Jericho went straight to the big man Batista, trying to take him down, but it was a no problem for Batista to toss him aside. Jericho caught the big man with a boot to the grill and planted a kick to the face of Batista before getting lifted with ease and planted on the mat for a two count. Batista kept the pressure.

The two went at it pretty hard when Jericho threw Batista to the outside and gave Batista with some kicks at the legs. Jericho put on a leg lock which evolved into a toe hold of Batista. But Batista got rid of the hold. Jericho flew back with knee to the leg. Jericho went on to wrap his limb on the lower rope. Batista kicked him into the announcing table giving some time. Jericho came charging in the ring only to meet a huge Batista boot.

After giving Jericho the Spine Buster, Batista tried the Batista Bomb but there was some resistance offered by Jericho through his Walls of Jericho. Jericho didn’t quiet got the hold of the hand and ended up in the half crab focused on one limb. Batista went on to reach the lower rope for his rescue and gave him a close clothesline. Jericho kept kicking the legs of Batista and gave him a yet another chop block.

Jericho missed up a lion sault and got loaded for the Batista Bomb, but he used the ropes for the rescue. He mounted on the top rope and got another clothesline from the Animal. Batista went for the cover for a fantastic near fall. Jericho went for the code breaker where he was caught by the Batista and was given a taste of Batista Bomb. Match over. The winner was Batista, decided on the pin fall.
