Great Khali- Strongest Man of India
WWE wrestler Great Khali or Dalip Singh Rana is been termed as the strongest man of India. He has made our country proud on the front of international wrestling. It has been a dream of Khali to get an entry in World Wrestling Entertainment. This 7 foot 3 inches tall and 420 pound Indian wrestler also has the credit of bagging the first WWE World Heavyweight Championship under her belt.
He belongs to a poor family of Dhiran village in Himachal Pradesh. His family consists of six brothers and sister. Because of poverty, Khali was not able to study at all. And that’s the reason, he never went to school. In order to provide shelter to his family, he started to work as a stone breaker at a very young age.
Despite of being working as a labourer, he still took special interest in body building. Later Director General of Punjab saw his toned body and offered him the job of constable in Punjab police. But Khali’s dream of entering in WWE scenario was still unfulfilled.
In the years 1997 and 1998, he consecutively won the title of Mr. India. And after seeing this, he was sent to US in order to get professional training of wrestling in All Pro Wrestling. After that he finally got the legal entry in the WWE. He has also worked in a hollywood movie named The Longest Yard in which he was appreciated a lot for his performance.
